Art 12

O believers! Do not enter any house other than your own until you have asked for permission and greeted its occupants. This is best for you, so perhaps you will be mindful. If you find no one at home, do not enter it until you have been given permission. And if you are asked to leave, then leave. That is purer for you. And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of what you do. (Quran, 24:27-28)
 

O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other... (Quran 49:12)

For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil will not sojourn with you. The boastful will not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. You destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful. (Psalm 5)

Neither one should slander anyone nor listen to such talk. (Sri Guru Granth Sahib p.274)
