The Faith for Rights Academy is pivotal in promoting, training and disseminating materials on behalf of and in collaboration with the United Nations Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights. The Academy works within Faith for Rights framework and in partnership with other key human rights educators from across the world.

This academy stands at the crossroads of faith and human rights, emphasizing the powerful role that faith-based teachings and communities play in advocating and upholding human rights globally.

The Faith for Rights framework, developed by the UN, recognizes the influence of religious and faith leaders in shaping societal norms and behaviors. It aims to harness this influence to promote a deeper understanding and respect for human rights, grounded in the ethical and moral teachings shared across various faiths.

The Academy’s mission is thus twofold: to educate and engage faith leaders and communities in human rights discourse, and to create a collaborative space where the teachings of different faiths align with universal human rights principles. Through dialogue, workshops, and collaborative projects, the Academy seeks to foster a global community that respects the rights and dignities of all individuals, regardless of their faith.
